Custom Profiles
Any cross-section. Any alloy. Any length. We design and manufacture the die in-house — then extrude your custom profile to exact specification.
Your Design.
Our Die.
CANEX designs and manufactures every extrusion die in-house using advanced simulation software. Send us a DXF, DWG, or even a hand sketch — our engineering team will evaluate the geometry, run simulation analysis, and design a die optimized for dimensional accuracy and extrusion performance.
This fully integrated capability means we can extrude virtually any cross-section you need — solid, hollow, semi-hollow — without relying on external toolmakers. Shorter lead times, full IP control, and a single point of accountability from drawing to delivery.
Die precision is achieved to ±0.001 mm. Typical die fabrication lead time is 7–14 working days. After press trials and dimensional sign-off, your die enters production and we can run repeat orders with no additional tooling cost.
The Custom Process
Every custom profile follows a structured engineering workflow — ensuring that what we press matches what you designed, every time.

Why In-House Die Making Matters
When the toolmaker is also the extruder, every step of the process is optimized together — not handed off across two separate companies with separate priorities.
In-House Die Making
We design and machine every die in our own tool room. No external vendors, no communication delays, no markup — and full control over die quality and timing.
Simulation Before Cutting
Before any steel is cut, we run die-flow simulation software to predict metal flow, pressure, and dimensional output. This reduces first-trial failures and costly re-cuts.
Full Die Ownership
After your first production order, you own the die. It is stored in our die library, maintained at no extra cost, and used exclusively for your orders. Full intellectual property protection.
Custom Profiles In Use
Custom extrusion profiles are specified wherever standard shapes cannot meet the functional or aesthetic requirements. These are the most common application categories for CANEX custom profiles.
